I have been all over the northeast for 3 years, constantly working out of coffee shops and cafes. Outside of NYC there aren't any places that rival Uncommon, both on atmosphere and coffee/food. And Uncommon can hold its own against most places in the city
In any other town I choose Starbucks but in Saratoga Springs Uncommon Grounds rules. Great coffee, fantastic bagels and free wifi (take a hint starbucks).
Uncommon Grounds has this amazing atmosphere and excellent food and beverages. Their desserts are to die for as well. It truly is the best in town, at least to me. Any time I'm in the area for stuff, I make sure to stop in and have a little something.
The new uncommon looks great. There is more room to sit down, but it is still a warm and intimate atmosphere. Same great soups, bagels, and lox!
Uncommon is a great place for a coffee and bagel sandwich anytime of day. I come here often with school work or magazines- the atmosphere is great with big comfy chairs and coffee tables. I recommend a sesame bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese, although they're all good! I'm going to miss Uncommon come graduation!
