Virgil's. For a quiet setting with your coffee, Virgils is a nice location of off Broadway. They have a great coffee and a variety of breakfast choices. But, leave the cell phone in the car. Electronic devices are frowned upon.
Gotcha's Restaurant. For a great meal off the "beatin path" of Broadway, find your way to Beekman Street. Gatcha's is a great family run eatery with great Italian food. The staff is great as well as the service. When there, you have to try thier signature "Gotcha Balls". And make sure to say hi to Val the bartender.
Old Bryan Inn. If you are planning on eating at the bar. OBI can't be beat. The bartenders are the best at what they do and the food selection is fantastic. I recommend the prime rib sandwich!
