As I have never been in Saratoga during the summer, I was excited to finally dine on the outdoor patio at Forno Bistro this past weekend. Since Forno is one of the more popular Saratoga restaurants, we made sure to get their early so we could avoid the wait. We were seated immediately and greeted in Italian by one of the servers. Since I have been to Forno numerous times I knew exactly which pizza I wanted (the Popo) as it has never failed to be delicious. We ordered two house salads that were brought out promptly, however for whatever reason our waitress neglected to give us our bread right after we ordered. This was a bit frustrating as the bread is one of the best parts of the meal. Our pizzas came out a short time after and were cooked to perfection in that true thin crust Tuscan style. While they say they are personal size, we could have easily split one, but we were both happy to have leftovers! The atmosphere on the patio was pleasant and it was a beautiful evening, however we were seated very close to the table next to us and could hear their entire conversation, which became a bit of nuisance when they began talking intensely about dieting. This did not completely overshadow the night though, and we both had a great experience. I know that I will definitely be back soon!
