My wife and I arrived on a Saturday night (10 July)and sat at the bar the place wasn't very busy - after ordering drinks,about 10 minutes later she asked for a menu, which the bartender provided...after looking over the menu for 5 maybe minutes she called the bartender over and ordered...the bartender responded "the kitchen just closed"...a little heads up would have been appreciated...

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS anywhere around here. We love this place, our own little version of "Cheers" where we always feel welcome, the drinks are cold (try a Sunshine Vodka martini) and seriously my fav fish and chips anywhere. Their "Veggie burger" is awesome too (vegetables stacked onto a sandwich).
Try it, you'll love it too!

All the hype about the local and i needed to see it! Went there for a drink on Wednesday night and due to the weather it was not too busy. We hadn't eaten dinner so we decided to get a bite. Although their menu is limited the place is small so it keeps it real. There was a meatloaf special. Seriously, 10 years ago I may have thought this was a bizarre thing but today I jumped on board. It was amazing- I am not sure of the spicing but the bacon on top made it killer! My mate got the fish

I had lunch here on a Friday. The food was excellent. I ended up back there later in the day to bring food back home for my Wife. She loved it as well. I asked them to take their time on the food so I could enjoy a couple of beers at the bar while I waited. Great beer selection. We are now bringing another couple out to the Local with us tonight.
