SYMMETRY GALLERY has been artist owned and operated since 1990, and deeply dedicated to promoting American glass.  ALL our work is handmade by passionate, skilled United States and Canadian artists; when unfamiliar visitors draw assumptions that what they see is Venetian/European, we simply say we need go no further than our own shores to find the best glass in the world.  They agree, as we weave the lives of our artists to each piece we display.  Our visitors leave with a rich experience, purchase or not.

PROMOTE THE ARTFORM -We are delighted to bring the world of American glass blowing and bead making to our customers through both on- and off-site demonstrations.  We also offer glass bead classes, giving students an opportunity to taste the passion of creating beautiful things with hot glass.  Through our mentoring, many have gone on to make bead making into a successful endeavor.

THINK LOCAL - While our focus is glass, we include the work of many regional artists working in other media.  We are committed to promoting and nurturing the talent that lives in our community, and our visiting customers delight in bringing something home from their ‘Saratoga Experience’.  And of course, local residents love to see their friends and neighbor’s work exhibited in our gallery setting. 

INFORM - All SYMMETRY staff are artists…bead makers, fiber artists, jewelry designers.  As glass artists, Gary and dianne Zack are able to procure the best glass this country’s artists have to offer, in terms of artistic excellence and value.  We are able to offer our customers accurate and easy-to understand explanations of how the pieces are made.  A staff of artists is sensitive to the needs of our gallery artists, and, of course, passionate about the work…not only their own. 

FAIR TRADE - We know first hand what kind of overhead costs glass artists face.  Especially in these challenging times, respectful consideration of our artists is critical.  We are committed to honoring that trust.  The concept of ‘Fair Trade’ was our creed far before it became a buzzword.

THINK GREEN - We have aggressive, green policies in all areas, from packaging to shipping to display lighting. 

SYMMETRY offers the finest in AMERICAN contemporary glass and selected fine craft, including glass sculpture, functional glass, and exciting glass jewelry by over 200 artists, including over 20 regional craftspeople.
