Saratoga Performing Arts Center will welcome three-time Grammy winning saxophone superstar Branford Marsalis for a special performance with The Philadelphia Orchestra on Wednesday, August 10 at 8 p.m. This unique evening of classical-meets-jazz will feature Marsalis performing works that include John Williams’ Escapades for saxophone and orchestra, originally written for the hit film “Catch Me If You Can”and “Scaramouche”by Darius Milhaud.
A giant of jazz who, in recent years, rededicated himself to exploring and performing classical music, Branford Marsalis is known for his unique interpretations and versatility as a performer of many genres. He has performed with top orchestras in Chicago, Boston and other major cities around the world.
