Saratoga Springs, NY - Yo-Yo Ma, the world’s greatest living cellist, performs with The Philadelphia Orchestra on Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. The winner of 15 Grammy awards and one of the best selling classical recording artists of all time, Yo-Yo Ma is the superstar of the classical world. Though mainly regarded as a classical artist, he’s gained international fame as a successful crossover artist, collaborating with musicians as diverse as Alison Krauss, James Taylor and Paquito D’Rivera. Ma will be performing Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1, one of the most difficult works in the cello repertoire.
