The Town of Malta will hold an informational meeting to receive public input on a trail plan to address the
connectivity of trails between the Zim Smith Trail and Route 9, providing a connection to the Luther Forest
Technology Campus trails.
In 2006, a Trail Enhancement Alternatives Study was conducted to evaluate trail enhancement alternatives for
pedestrians and bicycles to connect the Zim Smith Trail and the Saratoga P.L.A.N Trail, or the former trolley
line, to Route 9. The Town of Malta and the Saratoga P.L.A.N.’S trail plans envision utilizing the trolley line
property, along with future purchases, to provide a parallel route through the valley that will include an
evaluation of potential equestrian accommodations.

Go East on Route 67 to the Route 9 roundabout/intersection. Follow the signs to proceed North on Route 9.
Continue North for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn left on Bayberry Drive. The David R. Meager Malta Community
Center is the first building on the left.
