A crime thriller about judicial cover-ups and corruption in Argentina. Ricardo Darin stars as Benjamin, a former criminal court employee and aspiring novelist who wants to write about a 1970s-era Argentine case in which a woman was raped and murdered. He tells his intentions to a judge, Irene (Soledad Villamil), with whom he is secretly smitten--but she's decidedly less keen on the idea, for nefarious reasons....
Benjamin joins forces with his colleague and friend, Pablo (Guillermo Francella), and the two investigate the original crime. As Benjamin and Pablo struggle to reopen the case, the Argentine government seeks to thwart them at every turn...
The Secret in Their Eyes won the 2010 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
"Like the murder at the heart of this tale, Secret is bound to linger in the memory for years." --Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times (Rated R for a rape scene, violent images, some graphic nudity, and language.)
