Spread the love of discovery and adventure using real cows’ heart. Hands-on activities will build on children’s natural enthusiasm and teach the circulatory system, how the heart works, and its size and location in the body. They will listen to their own hearts and hear the changes made by activity, and investigate the difference between veins and arteries in their own bodies. Heart science will go way beyond little red cutout hearts by learning what a real heart looks like. Ages 5+ **DISCLAIMER: Participants in this workshop will be invited to assist in the dissection of an actual cow heart, under professional supervision.
Pre-registration is required. Free for CMOST members, $2.00for non-members plus admission to CMOST
