The music of Mose Allison, the slick hipster from the Mississippi
delta, never fails to get a wry, knowing smile from listeners�if not
outright laughter. His rollicking, jazzy piano songs have been covered
by such unlikely bands as The Clash and The Who. Van Morrison recorded
a whole album of Mose songs.
It�s Mose�s brilliant, wry social insights that have made him a
legend ("Your mind is on vacation, and your mouth is working
overtime"). He has released thirty-eight albums between 1957 and 2002.
This will be his second appearance at Caffè Lena and we�re hugely
honored to have him back! He�ll be joined by bassist Rich Syracuse.
