Like the previous commenter, I am very unhappy with the changes that have been made at PJ's. They expanded their menu but in return have sacrificed some of their quality. They used to serve their chicken "wick" sandwiches with a sauce of your choosing. They would mix it with the chicken to order. Now they just give you a bun with naked chunks of chicken and you are expected to go over to the BBQ sauce "bar" and squirt your own on. I find this annoying since a real bbq joint prides itself on its own recipes for sauces. The sauces they offer now are bought in and nothing special. Plus, when you squirt the cold sauce on your sandwich you are left with, well, a cold sandwich! I went with some friends and before I could warn her one of them ordered the chick wick. It came naked as usual and she was very disappointed. She made a point to go up to the owner and ask about it. She said that although the lady was perfectly nice she made no apologies for the new system. She said that with the extensive menu there was now "no way" for them to sauce every sandwich and that this was "the future of PJs". I felt that answer to be patronizing and pretty offensive. As if to say, "we are big stuff now so get used to it". I think PJs is going to learn the hard way that if you want to expand your business you cannot sacrifice the service and quality that allowed you to get there. They are going to lose customers who are accustomed to a certain quality and don't want to spend their hard earned money (PJs is not cheap!) on something that isn't as good as it used to be. I, for one, will no longer go to PJs after over 15 years of being a loyal customer. It's sad but "that's the future".

Disappointed in the changes PJ's has made this year. It's still worth a visit because of the atmosphere which is fun, but some laziness is noted on this year's menu. Most noteworthy is the change in BBQ sauce and loss of some of the really good slowcooked items from the menu. Can't imagine losing PJ's from my summer routine so will probably just switch over to the desserts from now on. Great custard ice cream.

A fun spot with a 50's vibe and the prices are not too bad either. They have a lot of unique items on the menu as well as old standbys like burgers, hot dogs, and chicken. They have their own beverage called Loganberry which I have been purchasing at Hannaford and am glad that I finally went to its birthplace and experienced the food. Once in a while when they are extremely busy the food is not as excellent as usual but in general, I recommend PJs.

I don't know what that person is talking about. PJs has excellent food. The prices are a little on the high side considering you're sitting outside on picnic table but you'd pay twice as much for something in a big city. The wick sandwiches are great as are the sides. So lighten up, people. It's barbecue!
