Outstanding authentic Mexican restaurant with a festive, brightly-colored Mexican decor on South Broadway not far from Circular street and downtown. My wife and I lived in the California Bay Area for over 25 years and El Mexicano is the closest thing in town to the many outstanding Mexican restaurants in California. Piping-hot plates with authentic rice and beans accompany each of the many main meal selections. A quesadilla appetizer and delicious chimichanga dessert come COMPLIMENTARY with every meal! Even the pre-meal chips and salsa are excellent. To top it off, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We also love Cantina on central Broadway for a slightly "higher end", pricier meal, but for a good classic Mexican dinner that covers all the bases, you can't beat El Mexicano in Saratoga.
