Over the last year or so Sperry's has become ever more disappointing. A recent shift in ownership has led to obvious internal problems. As a former regulars, my wife and I often enjoyed evenings at the bar and became well acquainted with the friendly staff and professional dinning room manager. Sadly, as we learned of the new owner's mistreatment of the employees our desire to spend money there became increasingly low. Sperry's also closed abruptly and without notice last winter for nearly two months. As annoyed as we were to show up to a locked front door we later felt worse for the staff when we found out most had been notified they were being laid off the day before Christmas Eve. We gave Sperry's one last chance when they reopened after completing "renovations" only to find all they had done was replace the carpeting. We have decided to give up on this old favorite: best wishes to the gracious staff who provided us with many fond memories of an era gone by.
A classic Saratoga Restaurant, Sperry's has a great out door patio and a really cool atmosphere inside.
