Hattie's Restaurant |
Come down and celebrate Jasper's Bobby Flay downing chicken! On the first weekend of September, Bobby Flay came to town to take on Hattie's and Jasper's recipe for fried chicken for an episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay. According to an unbiased panel using unmarked dishes, the judges unanimously agreed that Jasper's was better! So come down to Hattie's and celebrate 68 years of history and the best fried chicken around! Hattie's Restaurant is one of Saratoga's historic landmarks, specializing in Southern and Louisiana cuisine since 1938. Hattie's has always been known for its fried chicken & fresh biscuits; not wanting to change a formula that has worked for nearly 70 years, Chef Jasper has kept the menu the same and added a few specials such as chicken and dumplings, Jasper's now infamous macaroni & cheese along with daily fresh fish specials. In addition we have designed a wine list to include diverse and exciting wines to compliment our cuisine. In the spring and summer months, come dine New Orleans-style in our magical covered courtyard or stop by our late-night bar for a mojito or one of our infamous specialty drinks. Our main dining room is open all year and has remained timeless in its charm. Whether you're looking for a traditional Southern dinner or some good old fashioned soul food, Hattie's is the place to be! They are proud to carry on such a wonderful Saratoga Tradition and they hope you'll stop by soon. More Information:Hattie's is open for dinner: Wed-Sat - 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Hattie's has the best macaroni n cheese, and the best mojitos! The hush puppies are also delicious. In the Summer/Fall, the back patio is the place to be!
I'm not sure there is much to say after that. If your mother didn't make this food for you, let Hatti's! You're belly will thank you.
Excellent food at Hattie's. I won't say anything about the fried chicken other than try it and ask Bobby Flay. Southern style, comfort food, all excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful also. There's a nice little bar out back under a tent. Very nice, a lot of action. Everyone enjoyed everything. Would go back and would recommend in a heartbeat!
Im from the South, so there's no foolin' me. Did a tornado pick this homey restaurant up and carry it all the way from South of the Mason Dixon? Only thing missing is the sweet smell of magnolias and the sultry breeze through the pines. If its 2 degrees in Saratoga, head on over to Hattie's, you'll get all warmed up.
The fried chicken is incredible. If you think you don't like fried food- trust me, you'll like this! Hattie's also has a superb martini list, delicious sides and a sweet potato pie that keeps me coming back for more. I recommend the succotash, collard greens, mac and cheese, and as I mentioned before, that glorious plate piled high with fried chicken!
