Get lucky at thirteen, the newest addition to Caroline Streets diverse nightlife. A plentiful bar, highlighted by over 175 distinctive vodkas, should please both adventurous and discerning patrons. Relax at the bar while perusing vodkas from Texas to Iceland or enjoy a game on one of two high definition TVs. If your looking to really relax, step down into the lounge and enjoy your cocktail in a more intimate atmosphere complete with couches and chairs that make you feel right at home. This is the perfect spot to unwind after dinner, and sip your desert with a desert martini (Almond Joy? Twix? Milky Way? maybe Caramel Apple?). With a fantastic variety of music, including everything from DJs to solo acoustic acts, thirteen offers something for everyone. While the DJs will have you dancing late into the night, the summer schedule is already packed with great live music. Led by vocalists, Garland Nelson, Soul Session brings everyone to their feet while lifting spirits on the thirteenth of every month. 13 at thirteen has blossomed into a favorite night for many over the last few months (in other words don't miss it!). Other great artists to look for this summer include Banooba, Sean Rowe, Forrest Jenkins, Kevin Muleaney, sirsy, and the Remainders. So come on, sip away your superstitions at thirteen, and get lucky. I was lucky to make it to the Stoli and Stilettos party. A definite highlight of an otherwise gloomy winter nightlife. For starters, really cute bartenders mixing scrumptious martinis or just serving shots like ambrosia, pretty good dancing music, happy good mix of ages crowd (not your grandpa's lounge or "may I see you id? crowd)
And I dunno, don't want to sound too New Age'y on this site - but there must be some right feng shui at this place, really nice energy that attracts even people who are normally not that much into a typical bar scene. In summary, good time was had by all.
I will be back for more. Before the tourists swarm in (and maybe even then)
