Local Chorus Offers Free Voice Lessons

SARATOGA SPRINGS- The Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus is offering free voice lessons through their four-week program, "The Perfect Blend." Participants will receive training in singing women’s four part a capella harmony. Instruction will include proper singing posture and breathing, vocal production, and visual performance techniques. Participants will also learn a song in four part harmony. Classes will include demonstrations from the Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus and will be taught by chorus director, Nancy Faddegon.

Lessons will be held Mondays, September 15, 22, 29 and October 6 at 6:30 -7:30 p.m. at the Saratoga United Methodist Church. Registration is suggested, but walk ins are welcome. Singing experience is not necessary.

The Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus is a women’s chorus and a prospective chorus of Sweet Adelines International. Singers are from the Saratoga and Adirondack Areas. The Chorus rehearses weekly on Monday evenings at 7:00 and welcomes visitors. The chorus performs at community events and shows. In addition it promotes harmony and friendship among women.
