Saratoga Restaurant Deals

This may be the best time ever to be a restaurant customer in Saratoga Springs.   Everywhere you look there are unbelievable chefs tasting menus, prix fixe meals, two for one specials and happy hour deals.  

Maestro's, one of the absolute best fine dining establishments on Broadway, is offering $5 entrees everyday at 5pm.  What an amazing deal for some really great cuisine.  I wonder if they still offer the chocolate after the $5 dinner special?

The Wishing Well, a Saratoga Springs institution known for great lobster, steaks and prime rib, has $1 island Creek Oysters and $1 angus beef sliders every Wednesday night.   

Meanwhile it seems The Grey Gelding and The Irish TImes have entered into a battle royale for Saratoga's Best Happy Hour deal.     

The Grey Gelding is offering 2 for 1 well drinks, beer and wine and $6 martinis during their grey' test happy hour every weekday from 3-6pm.  I am not sure when happy hour started at 3pm but bring it on!   They also have a cool a wine tasing on Wednesdays starting at 6:30pm for their GG Jockey Club members--I guess if you get there at 3 and start drinking half price til 6pm you'll be a full fledged member in the frequent flier club. 

Meanwhile over at The Irish Times EVERYTHING is half price from 3 til 7pm.  This includes appetizers at the bar, the best guiness stout in saratoga.   The Irish Times is just off the beaten path on Phila Street in Saratoga Springs.    

So to summarize the perfect night in Saratoga actually starts at 3pm at The Grey Gelding for a martini or 3.  Then saunter down to Maestro's at 5pm for $5 entrees after which you can roll down the hill to The Irish Times for the perfect pint of 1/2 price guiness until 7pm.     About then it will be time to call a cab so you can get to bed early and start again tomorrow!
