Market News: Products of the week appear to be Onions, Tomato, Italian Eggplant,
Swiss Chard, Carrots, Green Beans, Sweet Peppers, Scallions, Broccoli, and Lettuce.
That is not to say lots of other products are not plentiful! I even see the early
fall pumpkins and squash are here!
We are transitioning from summer market to fall market. As has been announced,
a few vendors will no longer be coming on Wednesdays. They are: Wild Things Nursery
and Effie's Baked Goods. Elihu Farm will be missing for the next two Wednesdays,
but will be here on Saturdays and return on Wednesdays on the 22nd. Effies is on
holiday until Saturday September 18.
CONGRATULATIONS TO BATTENKILL CREAMERY, THE BEST MILK IN NYS!! Our very own Battnkill
Creamery took the title at the NYS State Fair--its a very competitive contest and
now the rest of the state knows what we already new--Battenkill Creamery Milk is
THE GREATEST!

is located at the market shed. Please when someone drops something,
even cash, turn it into the market lost and found at the shed. Likewise
is if you lost something at our market come to us. We pride ourselves
in the honesty of our market--its one of the great things about
Saratoga!

Thank you all, who entered the Big Zucchini and Whopper of a Cucumber Contest last
Saturday. We all enjoyed looking at these amazingly large vegetables!! The winning
zucchini was from Otrembiak Farm at 7.5 lbs. Dee Stevens and Steve Otrembiak's
zucchini's tied for longest--to the millimeter! Congrats to customer Patty Mullenswhose
cucumber tipped the scales at a whopping 5.8lbs, but no one came
close to Steve Otrembiak's longest cucumber at 21.5 inches! ALL WINNERS RECEIVED

The Saratoga Farmers' Market is open for its outdoor season, May-Oct., Saturdays
9a-1p and Wednesdays 3-6pm at the High Rock Pavilions, High Rock Ave. in Saratoga
Springs, NY. (go to our website for a map to this location and to our Thurs market
in Clifton Park beginning in July.)
