Independent Record Label Band Premier

Features New York City Ballet Principal Dancers

On  Saturday, March 19th at 7:30pm, new local independent record label AppleHillRoxx and The National Museum of Dance School of the Arts collaborate to premier an evening of “Pop Rock and Rave” with the newly signed band Bangin Sid. This exciting partnership includes performers who are current and former members of the New York City Ballet. A funky pop act that blends a bit of euro synth, pop and rap… Bangin Sid pulls together a unique blend of musical styles in a fusion they like to call Urban Apartment Pop. An all-out dance rave, DJ’d by NYCB’s Principal Dancer Sebastien Marcovici, a.k.a. DJ Tear of Manhattan, will rock afterwards until midnight. The Century House will provide a cash bar for the evening. A portion of the proceeds raised by this event will benefit the Dance Museum’s School of the Arts. The house will open at 7:30pm. Special guest DJ AdamBomb from NYC will spin an opening set from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Bangin Sid's performance will begin at 8:45pm.  Tickets are $25.00 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door. For advanced tickets/table reservations call AppleHillRoxx at 518-309-4159. The School of the Arts is situated behind the National Museum of Dance at 99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs NY.www.dancemuseum.org/school/

Bangin Sid’s members include current New York City Ballet dancers MC Henry Seth, on keyboards and Ask la Cour Rasmussen, composer; Michelle Palladino, on sultry pop vocals; and acclaimed drummer Tobias Ralph. Ralph is a former member of the drum’n’bass band Plexus and The Screaming Headless Torso’s. Ralph has also lent his extraordinary musical talents to great artists like Ms. Lauren Hill, Duncan Sheik and Royston Langdon.During Bangin Sid's live show, gyrating dance moves are lead by former NYCB’s Principal Miranda Weese and joined-in by Natasha LaFeyette, a former dancer with Hubbard Street Chicago Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet.

Applehillroxx's home base is in Ballston Spa. A new independent record label, it was created by former Principle Dancer of the New York City Ballet and The Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miranda Weese, and her best friend and singer, Michelle Palladino. Raul Martinez, director of the School of the Arts, is very excited to be hosting the artists of AppleHillRoxx in the school's state-of-the-art dance studios: “It seems fitting that the School of the Arts would align itself with progressive-minded dancers from the New York City Ballet. We, here, at the National Museum of Dance and the School of the Arts strive to foster and bring to life high quality performance art for the future.”
