The Parting Glass is a fine a pub in Sartoga Springs and the live music is hard to beat but for reliable service, a great guiness and possibly the best hamburger in the Spa City The Irish Times is the winner hands down.
These guys are on Phila Street perfectly located off the top deck of the Putnam Street parking garage. They offer an incredible 1/2 price happy hour--not just on some drinks--on anything you order between 4 and 7 pm. Most of the Irishmen I know are asleep by seven but here they are still serving great drinks at a great price.
The Irish Times also has perfectly placed TV's for watching sports the world series, football etc... The TV's are right sized and nicely positioned. You can see them from everywhere but never feel they are in your face.
On the food front--I only know the IT Burger so far but I will be trying more. An awesome burger with a rahsher of bacon, chedar cheese and maybe the best fries in saratoga. (someone should do a french frie competition between these guys and the Grey Gelding).
People nearby ordered the irish nachos which looked great too.
bottom line, the Irish Times is the new king of Irish Pubs in Saratoga.
Agree or disagree about which is the king you can't argue this place is a great addition to the Saratoga scene.
