Tonight's final match of the coveted Susan and Hector Memorial Barrantes Cup ended in a victory for Ft. Christopher's Thoroughbreds over the Palm Beach Exotics 13-8.
Thomas Anton scored 7 of Ft. Christopher's goals, 5 on foul shots, with the other 6 scored by Andy and Brian Faircloud.
For Palm Beach Exotics, Gringo Colombres scored 3; Ricky Bostwick had 2 goals; Hugh Dollard and Johnny Levine each scored 1.
George Hearst, publisher of the Albany Times Union, Saratoga Polo media sponsor, honored the Barrantes' memory and tonight's players with a traditional Sabrage (beheading with a sabre) of a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, then presented trophies to the winning and runner-up team members.
