Saratoga P.L.A.N. to host Public Meeting
Please join Saratoga P.L.A.N. (Preserving Land and Nature) for a public meeting to collect input and recruit volunteers for the development of the Coldbrook Preserve trails. The meeting will be held February 9th at 7pm at the Bacon Hill Reformed Church, 50 Route 32, Schuylerville New York.
The Coldbrook Preserve is Saratoga P.L.A.N.’s newest preserve located off Homestead Road in the Town of Northumberland. The Coldbrook Preserve will provide habitat for two rare turtle species. In addition to protecting wildlife, the preserve will provide opportunities for area residents to walk, hike, snowshoe and cross-country ski. The property connects to land owned by The Nature Conservancy, Saratoga County Forest, and Wilton Wildlife Preserve. Visitors will soon be able to access trails connected to Nature Conservancy and Kalbus-Perry County Forest through the Coldbrook trails. A volunteer team from Leadership Saratoga class of 2011 is currently developing the first stage of a trail plan. For more information on this project or to RSVP to this meeting, please call
