I couldn't help but notice that the Borders store that was formely on Broadway has been closed for exactly five months today. I am hoping something comes of it - namely that both stories are filled very soon with an establishment (establishments?) that add to the vitality of our wonderful downtown. There is no denying that Borders has left a noticeable void along Broadway, although it was good to see several other previously empty storefronts filled this summer. It would be a nice target to see that prominent location filled by the end of October, just in time for the holiday shopping season. Let's hope.
