Friday's David N. Deutsch & Co. Cup was a beauty. It was the kick-off to the Barrantes Cup, which runs at Saratoga Polo through Aug. 29th.
Right at the buzzer, a score tied up the match between Bloomfield/Sugar Maple Farms and Team Sara Boca. Then within a minute of overtime, the score tied at 10, Bloomfield's Stuart Campbell scores the winning goal. Final: 11-10.
High scorer: Cuko Escapite with six goals, four of them penalty shots. Polo continues in the Barrantes Cup through the 29th - wed. fri. sun. at 5:30.
The match is in memory of Susan and Hector Barrantes, in honor of their love of polo and Saratoga Springs.
